How far do we ride?

It varies by location and route and is totally up personas with disabilities to the client. One of our main events, Play On The Runway, offers INDYBike to 1000's of their event attendees each year, and those rides are mostly families for 10-15 minutes each. INDYBike has also been in parades and can in many cases accommodate persons with disabilities.

How long is the event?

INDYBike Challenge is typically available for up to eight hours per day, but requests for shorter or longer durations can be accommodated upon request.

Where do we park?

You will receive an event day package with detailed instructions including the precise location of where to park and meet your team.

Do I need to be physically fit to participate?

The bike is similar to pedaling a traditional bike! You can make it a workout, or you can let others do the work. While the bike is pedal powered, it’s not overly strenuous. Please be aware that you do need to be able to climb onto the bike unaided.

What do we wear?

We recommend wearing comfortable athleisure clothing and sneakers.

What happens if there is bad weather?

We ride in rain, wind, and even snow! But if there’s lightning or other dangerous weather that persists throughout the full booking period, the event can be rescheduled. This has not yet happened and is highly unlikey based on years of experience with this event.

Will my business be promoted?

Yes, there can be a sign with your company’s name on the INDYBike to be produced to spec at your company's expense.

How long has this program been around?

INDYBike has previously supported a number of charitable organizations for the past 15 years. The INDYBike program is our innovative new way to provide a fun team-building experience for Corporate Events, Fundraiser for Schools and Charities, and as an exciting and totally unique addition to Parades, Fairs and Festivals!

Can I bring my family?

This choice is up to you and your organization to make.

Do I need to be really athletic to participate?

The bike ride is considered mild to moderate exercise, if you can ride a bike you can join!

Is there a minimum number of riders?

Ideally, the bike is full, so 8 riders for each of the 2 bikes (16 people in total)/ However a minimum of 4 people can easily get and keep the bike moving.

Is there an age limit?

For safety reasons, we require that there is a legal guardian beside each person under the age of 14 years. There can be up to 4 children per INDYBike, with adult supervision required for each one.

Is this safe?

The INDYBike Challenge has multiple protocols in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Can we participate in all weather?

In the event of thunder and lightning, INDYBike will be paused until it clears with the schedule adjusted accordingly. We have never had a full cancellation and do occasionally ride in inclement weather.

What if we need to cancel?

If cancelling more than 120 days prior to your event day, a partial refund will be provided in the form of waiver of the 2nd and final instalment of 50%.  if cancellation occurs less than 120 days from the event the 2nd instalment will then need to be paid as per the Services Agreement, as it is unlikely that INDYBike would be able to rebook the cancelled date on such short notice..

Can we get a tax receipt?

Tax receipts will be provided by the participating charity if there is one involved with the event.

Is there a website I can look at?
